Thank you to all of our members and customers for continuing to support Bramley Baths.
It’s you – the people who come to the Baths – who make it such a special place, and we are only able to exist because of the support of our paying members.
Earlier this week was a good example of why we need your continued support.
Storm Ciara wreaked havoc across the country, and our beautiful Grade II Edwardian building also took a battering. We had multiple leaks and we reluctantly took the decision to close before noon.
We do not get any core funding from Leeds City Council or the government, so by choosing to come to Bramley Baths you really are playing your part in helping us to keep this community treasure viable.
In return, we hope to give you an experience that you won’t find anywhere else: friendly staff who will go out of their way to help you; a safe and welcoming place to stay healthy and make new friends and a beautiful, historic building, which is alive with stories and memories.
It is a privilege to be the custodians of such a historic treasure but the aftermath of Storm Ciara certainly brought home to us the challenge we face in keeping this wonderful community asset fit for the future.
In the coming months we will be working on a plan to fund the repairs to the roof that urgently need doing.
But in the meantime, you can help by renewing your membership, making the most of all of the facilities we offer, sharing our social media posts and bringing your friends along to take part and join in.
Thank you for helping us keep going and for all of your support.
